Navhind Papers and Publication is a division of Dempo Industries Pvt Ltd, a part of the Goa-based Dempo Group of Companies. The group publishes two newspapers: The Navhind Times and its sister publication Navprabha (Marathi daily).

The Navhind Times is the first English newspaper of Goa - first published in 1963 immediately after liberation from Portuguese Rule.
After 500 years of strict censorship under Portuguese rule, The Navhind times offered a medium of expression to the people of Goa. Today, it still remains Goa’s most popular and trusted newspaper. Apart from writers of national repute, it features the most respected writers of Goa such as Nandkumar Kamat, Tomazinho Cardozo and Mario Cabral e Sa.

To cater to the needs of the Marathi speaking population ”Navprabha” was launched in 1970. The Navhind Times has the largest English readership in Goa 1.47 lakhs by IRS 2006 and 1.48 lakhs by NRS 2006 and over 51% Market Share of Advertisement Space (April- Sept 2006)
