Bartenders display scintillating skills at regional championship

Bartenders from western states converged in Goa for the fifth round of the Ultimate Bartender Championship. Contestants participated in five exciting challenges including ingredient knowledge, mixing, pouring, nosing and even the perfect serve. Over 190 bartenders registered for the contest that aimed at uplifting and developing bartending skills. The global initiative is exclusively for the next generation of bartenders and saw participants showcase “skills that pay bills” in the regional round held at Toy Beach Club.

Devi Singh, Satvart Bhat and Maruti Jadua won the Goa regional round. All the three winner move on to the national finals with a chance to represent India at the London Cocktail Week in October. The event was hosted by Pankaj Balachandran the brand ambassador for Monkey Shoulder. Speaking on his win, Devi Singh who has experience in bars such as Firefly, LPK, Peep Kitchen and Tito’s, said,  “Bartending is a passion for me and it makes me content when I interact with guests at a bar. I am very excited to be competing at this globally recognized
event.”
