Goa sees all-time high of 820 charter flights

PANAJI: All the past records as regards to arrival of foreign tourists in the state have been broken in the ongoing tourist season, which saw around 820 charter flights as against 626 in the previous year, an all-time high, arriving in the state with nearly 1.61 lakh tourists till April 8. The state had received 752 charter flights (previous best) in 2006-07.

Mickky attacks NCP, Congress

Shantaram asks Centre to suspend exhibition of ‘Dum Maro Dum’

PANAJI: Mr Shantaram Naik, MP, in a letter sent by him through fax to the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting,    Ms Ambika Soni,  on Saturday,  has requested that the central government should suspend the exhibition of Hindi feature film ‘Dum Maro Dum,’ scheduled to be released all over the country, including  Goa , on April 22, under Section 6 of the Cinematograph Act, 1952.
