Goa’s first Konkani sports film ‘Glory’, under the banner of Prasad Creations, will now be screened at Inox theatres in Panaji, Margao and Porvorim from June 14 to June 20. The screening timings for Panaji and Porvorim are 8 p.m. while in Margao it is at 7:30 p.m.
Produced and directed by A Durga Prasad, the film also has Tinky George as the director. The song lyrics are by renowned lyricist Rajay Pawar, music is composed by Ronnie Monserate while singers O’luv, Acasio and Aurvile lent their voices to the hit numbers.
The film is about a Goan sports team that is selected to play at a national championship under ‘Coach Srinivas’ ( played by Rajesh Pednekar) and their journey forward. ‘Glory’ is a story of passionate football players set against the emotional journey of fans – it’s a complete family entertainer for the audience, said director, A Durga Prasad.
The screenplay has been written by Saish Poi Panondikar and Sunil Kumar. The sound design is by famous Bollywood sound designer, Bishwadeep Chatterjee who is known for films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat, URI and more. Cinematography is by renowned cinematographer Hari Nair.
Creative director Jitendra Shikerkar said that Prasad Creations’ film Glory is a tribute to the Goan football fraternity. Looking ahead, Prasad Creations aims at providing a platform to Goan talent.
The cast of the film includes Rajesh Pednekar (lead actor), Salil Naik, Brijesh Kakodkar, Manoj Joshi, Sachin Surlikar, Fermino Goes, Luis Bachchan, comedian Nato, Chitra Alfonso, Veloshka, and Rohit Khandekar. The executive producer is Abhijit Salgaokar.
