Salgaocar FC Sting SAI
Margao: Goals from Aaron Barreto and Frazer Gomes in the last ten minutes of play helped Salgaocar FC register a 2-0 win against SAI in the AIFF under-15 Youth League football played at Assolna grounds on Saturday. Both the teams matched each other equally in all the departments of the game and displayed fine skills in the making of professional football players of the future. The passing of both the teams was adequate as they spread the ball well ,all over the field, burst into speed, controlled the ball well and even excelled in anticipating the ball to take good positions. As such, both the teams found it tough to really pose danger in the box,as the defence of both the teams stood firm. However, lack of concentration by SAI defenders seemed to be their worst folly as Salgaocar FC sneaked in two goals in the last ten minutes of play. It was Aaron Barreto who found the mark in the 80th minute neatly beating the rival keeper off a cross from Frazer Gomes through an angular header and then Frazer Gomes scored a gem of a goal off a through pass from Ribhav Sardessai. Salgaocar F.C. keeper Dylon D’;’;Silva brought off some fine saves when SAI were in the attack for a while in both the sessions of play.
