Goa Science Centre, Miramar will organise Creative Science Workshop sessions for school students.
Batch I of the workshop will be held from April 24 to April 29 with sessions on Science Spectrum for students of class 5 to class 7. The session will feature hands-on inquiry-based learning where students will make and take home projects that relates directly to each topic. Science Kit Making for students of class 8 to class 10 will teach students to fabricate kits based on different scientific principles.
Batch II will start from May 11 to May 16 and will comprise sessions like Science Toy Making for students of class 5 to class 7. Here students will make toys using simple and easily available materials and learn the science behind the working of toys. Skill Development in Electronics for students of class 8 to class 10 will teach students basic electronic concepts and how to identify various electronic components, constructing circuits, soldering, etc.
A special workshop including live science demonstrations, hands-on activities, science film shows, etc, will also be held.
Admission will be on first come first serve basis. There are limited seats – only 15 in a batch for each discipline (additional batches shall be planned based on response). A nominal course fee will be charged.
