GSCPCR says it will neither permit removal of 13 HIV infected children from Rivona school nor find them alternate schools

The Goa State Commission for Protection of Children’s Rights took a firm stance against the Parent Teacher Association and management of the Fatima Convent School in Rivona, saying the commission will neither permit removal of the 13 HIV infected children from the school nor find them alternative schools. Sameera Kazi, the GSCPC chief emphasized that  the commission would take the issue to “higher authorities” in the country, if required, in an apparent reference to the Supreme Court which had banned discrimination against HIV infected kids in education.
