Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has brought to the notice of Union Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar the difficulties faced by the state with regard to sand mining and beach shacks.
Sawant, who is in New Delhi, Saturday called on Javadekar and discussed issues related to environment, Coastal Regulation Zone and other issues pertaining to Goa.
While requesting support of the central government to resolve various issues related to environment, the Chief Minister said that he also brought to the notice of the Union minister the stand of the state on eco-sensitive areas around the Western Ghats.

Pralhad Joshi, Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Union Minister for Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan wherein he discussed various issues pertaining to Goa.
