Let’s Talk, a collaboration between Serendipity Arts Festival and the International Film Festival of India is scheduled to be held from November 23 to November 27 in Goa. This will be an integral pre-event feature of the inter-disciplinary festival’s inaugural edition that is set to take place from December 16 to December 23 in Goa.
A series of speedy and interactive discussions will be hosted at Watson’s in Panaji. With the aim of Challenging the Norms of Seeing the Unseen, speakers and audience will participate in riveting debates. The panel will consist of eminent speakers such as MD and CEO of Future Brands Limited, Santosh Desai; film director, screenwriter and film producer, Bharat Bala; radio jockey, Naved Khan; stand-up comedian, Jeeveshu Ahluwalia; scriptwriter and story consultant, Vipul K Rawal; founder and director of Seher, Sanjeev Bhargava; film journalist, writer and researcher, Uma da Cunha; creative director, social and developmental communication, Ogilvy and Mather Advertising, Rajkumar Jha, and filmmaker and film educator, Anupam Barve. Food historian, author, television host and critic, Odette Mascarenhas will curate the food at the event with an extravagant fare of Goan delicacies.
Discussions will be held from November 23 to November 27 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. On November 23 the discussion will be on the topic ‘Creating 1.3 billion cinema addicts?’ and will be held by Santosh Desai and Bharat Bala. On November 24 Naved Khan and Jeeveshu Ahluwalia will discuss ‘Is crass the new comedy?’. On November 25 the topic ‘Whose idea is it anyway?’ will be discussed by Vipul K Rawal. On November 26 the topic ‘India and Bharat ever meet?’ will be discussed by Sanjeev Bhargava and Uma da Cunha. November 27 will see Rajkumar Jha and Anupam Barve discuss ‘One film 800 dialects’.
