Shikhar Kumar wins young restaurateur of the year award

Shikhar Kumar, co-founder, T- Mark Hospitality won the Young Restaurateur of the Year award at the Indian Restaurant Congress 2019, organised recently by Franchise India. The award was presented by TV stars Mohit Malik and Aditi Shirwaikar in honour of his contribution to the hospitality industry and his outstanding work with Watermark, Goa’s first and only floating luxury lounge in partnership with Trivesh Ajgaonkar and Rhea Kumar.

From his school days, Shikhar knew he wanted to be an hotelier and a restaurateur. And in order to convert his dream a reality he began his journey by graduating from Welcomegroup Graduate School of Hotel Management in Manipal and later acquired his master’s degree from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, Switzerland.

Shikhar set out to build his empire at the age of 21. His first project was the beach club ‘Antares’ followed by  several restaurants, luxury hotels and resorts in the state. . He along with his partners, Trivesh and Rhea started Goa’s first premium night club Owl. Besides his projects in Goa, Shikhar also has couple of premium restaurants in Delhi and in fact was the first to introduce the international brand from London Toyroom to India.

Shikhar’s dream project has been Watermark, Goa’s first floating restaurant started along with partners Trivesh Ajgaonkar and Rhea Kumar, The floating restaurant in aesthetics and ambiance aims for international dining experience.
