VP of Penha de Franca to felicitate meritorious students

Village Panchayat (VP) of Penha de Franca is inviting applications from students who have passed SSC and HSSC Goa Board and Central Board Examinations held for academic year 2018-19 and have secured above 60 per cent marks.

The cash awards of `2000, `1500 and `1000 respectively will be awarded for first, second and third highest students in SSC and HSSC in science, commerce and arts streams from ward numbers one to six and ward numbers seven to 11.

The special cash awards of `500 each will be awarded to SSC students from ward number one to six for securing the highest marks in English and Konkani subjects.

The special cash awards of `500 each will be awarded to SSC students from ward numbers one to six for securing the highest marks in maths and science subjects.

The special cash awards of `501 will be awarded to SSC students from ward numbers one to six for securing the highest marks in foreign language. The special cash awards of `300 each will be awarded to SSC students from ward numbers one to 11 for securing the highest marks in Marathi subject.

There are special prizes for securing the highest marks in SSC and HSSC for students with disabilities. An amount of `500 will be presented to such students within the jurisdiction of VP Penha de Franca. Prizes of `500 each will be awarded to two sportsperson in cricket and football for playing at the State and National levels in the under-19 category, within the jurisdiction of the VP Penha de Franca. The best player will be awarded cash prize of `500.

Cash prizes of `350 each will be awarded to HSSC students from ward numbers one to six and seven to 11 for securing the highest marks in physics, maths and chemistry. For securing the highest marks in science and commerce streams a cash prize of `700 will be presented to meritorious students.

A special cash prize of  `500 each will be awarded to SSC students from ward numbers one to six for having securing highest marks in Hindi subject. A cash prize of `500 each will be awarded to SSC students only from ward number four for securing the highest marks in Marathi.

Students should submit a photocopy of their marksheet and address proof along with an application to the Village Panchayat of Penha de Franca, Britona, Bardez on or before August 5, by 12.30 p.m.

(Applications received thereafter will not be considered. The cash awards will be distributed on August 15 on Independence Day.)
