Workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs
I Create India in collaboration with Human Touch, a youth led NGO, conducted a five-day ‘Aspiring Entrepreneurs Workshop’ (AEW) from March 16 -20 at Institute de Nossa Senhora de Piedade (Caritas), Panaji. This workshop was attended by participants from the marginalised communities. It aimed to promote entrepreneurship development training to the community, trying to develop positive attitudes and skills such as creativity and flexibility. Participants were exposed to practical tips for successful entrepreneurship and trained in opportunity identification that would later enable them to start some ventures that would help them improve their quality of life. Besides the regular sessions by Master Trainers of I Create, there was also sharing of experiences by successful entrepreneurs. At the end of the workshop, the participants presented a business plan in a team and the best ones were judged and rewarded. Following this workshop, there will be follow-up sessions to reinforce concepts learned, clarify doubts and identify candidates who could be mentored further.
