Six more people lose COVID battle

Six more people lost their battle against the COVID-19 pandemic in the last 24 hours.

The six deaths reported on Thursday took the COVID fatality count for August to 126.

The   state has seen 171 COVID deaths, till  date.

The  bulletin released  by the department of health services said that a 58-year-old man from Taleigao, who had been  admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, passed away on August 25.

A 95-year-old man from Margao, who had  been admitted to ESI’s COVID   Hospital, also died on August 25.

A 69-year-old man from Margao, who  had been admitted to  the ESI Hospital with co-morbid conditions, died

on Wednesday.  An 84-year-old woman from Bambolim, a 65-year-old woman from Paroda and a 54-year-old man from Margao, who had been admitted  to   the COVID Hospital with co-morbid conditions, passed away  on Thursday.
