Haridwar: A two-day event on the topic ‘regional training for development of agricultural entrepreneurship in cultivation of medicinal plants’, sponsored by the National Medicinal Plants Board Scheme under the AYUSH ministry, was recently held at Patanjali Research Foundation in Haridwar.
At the programme, emphasis was laid on conservation of medicinal plants, plantation and the protection of their natural species, as well as promotion through herbal gardens.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Ramdev said agricultural entrepreneurship is a new approach to farming.
that considers important the interrelationships of social, economic and environmental processes, reckoning that unprecedented progress has been seen in the cultivation of medicinal plants and the promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship.
Dr Kunal Bhattacharya, principal scientist, drug discovery and development division of Patanjali Research Foundation, explained in detail the contribution of Patanjali by linking agripreneurship with it.
The event was held in collaboration with Patanjali Research Foundation and Patanjali University.
