As part of the Ashtalakshmi Youth Exchange Program organised by the North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong, and the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), in collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Goa, and Goa Samagra Shiksha, students from Goa recently participated in a cultural exchange held in Arunachal Pradesh. The initiative aimed to strengthen national integration under the banner of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ by promoting cultural understanding among students from Goa, Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh.
The exchange was hosted by Rajiv Gandhi University. During the programme, the participants met the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik (Retd.), and showcased the vibrant culture of their respective states.
The delegation also toured the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, under the guidance of speaker Tesam Pongte.
The Goan students were accompanied by team leaders Sujan Sawant from Directorate of Art & Culture, Goa, and Subhasini alias Gitali Kudnekar of Purushottam Walawalkar Higher Secondary School, Mapusa.
