BEd students learn teaching skills from teachers of Jeevdaan School

Pragati Women’s College of BEd, Torxem, Pernem, visited the Jeevdaan School for special children at Kudal, Maharashtra.

Around 100 trainees visited the school, accompanied by the principal V K Patil, teachers Vaishali Negvi, S Sharma, Bhagywan, Marathe, Kalpana Mestry and Preeti Kamat. The aim of the field trip was get an insight into the patience with which teachers of Jeevdaan School handle the students of the school.

General secretary of the college Somia Aga said that the college conducted this field trip in order to understand the teaching methodology involved in teaching special children. “We were amazed to see the discipline maintained in this school and how teachers make the child understand the importance of discipline”, she said further informing that as future teachers it was important that they learnt from these teachers the ways to guide and teach special students with kindness. “Students are admitted to this training centre at a very young age so that they can learn how to do conduct regular activities”, Aga said.
