Goan football gets Australian boost


PANAJI: The Goa Football Association (GFA) in its 50th year of existence received a shot in the arm with the Australian Government, through its agencies like the Australian Sports Outreach Programme (ASOP) and Football Federation Australia (FFA), signing an agreement with GFA to fund a budget of around Rs 20 lakh per year for three years towards grassroots and community football development in the state.
