GTA’s sprint gets local IT industry going

Members of the Goa Technology Association (GTA) met up recently for Sprint, a networking event aimed at catching up with latest developments in the IT world and exploring business opportunities. 

The event commenced with a welcome address by Mangirish Salelkar, president, followed by an address  by  Sandeep Bandhare, president, GCCI. Lauding the activities of GTA in promoting IT units in the state, Bhandare promised all help to the local IT industry.

D K Sareen, executive director, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council was one of the key speakers at the event along with Duggal, regional head, Elite Trade, ICICI Bank. Duggal informed on the innovations made by his bank to ensure a seamless and speedy processing of  foreign exchange remittances that would benefit IT export companies.  The third speaker for the day was Balchandra Kenkre, labour department who spoke on the new recruitment portal setup by the government. New members of GTA were felicitated and inducted into the organisation with the presentation of their membership certificates. The secretary of GTA, Sujeet Shetty, rounded out the event with the vote of thanks.
