IGP interacts  with Goa IRBn personnel deployed in Punjab

Panaji: To boost the morale, and  review the living  conditions of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) units of the Goa Police, deployed in three districts of Punjab (in view of Lok Sabha polls), IGP, Goa, Jaspal Singh and Deputy Commandant of Indian Reserve Battalion Raj Kumar are currently in Punjab.

The officers have reported from Punjab that the morale of the force is quite high and that senior police officers of Punjab Police are all praise for Goa


The Punjab Police have made excellent stay arrangements for the force.

During the visit, the IGP explained to the troops of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) units of the Goa Police, the advantages of interacting with local force which had steadfastly fought and eliminated terrorism from the state. “Such interactions also promote mutual learning. Moreover, cross cultural influences enrich the experiences of the force.

Significantly, 8 companies of Goan IRBn units have been deployed for election duties outside Goa. Initially, the force had performed duties in Telengana, which was followed duties in Karnataka.

Currently, the force is deployed in three districts of Punjab.

IGP further reported from Punjab that police personnel of IRBn have earned  goodwill and appreciation of local officers by their good work.
