Indian Hotels (IHCL) is celebrating Independence Day, with a 50 per cent discount to all serving and retired Indian armed forces personnel. The hotel chain is offering 50 per cent saving across all its brands to people in the services. The offer is part of IHCL’s support and recognition to the Indian armed forces. From hosting icons of the freedom movement to the historic juncture when the first Governor-General of an independent India, Lord Louis Mountbatten made his farewell speech from the steps of The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, the hotel chain has stood witness to milestones in India’s struggle for freedom.
The freedom offer is a humble tribute to express solidarity with the true heroes who protect this nation, according to the company. The offer is valid on bookings made between August 8 and August 15 for stays till October 15, across the 130 IHCL hotels in India. Additionally, special promotions will be available at the All Day Diners, Jiva Spa and Taj Khazana luxury lifestyle stores of the participating hotels. The façades of the two iconic hotels, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai and Taj Palace, New Delhi will also be lit up in the Indian tricolour to mark the jubilation of Independence Day.
