KTM’s full throttle run on Orange Day

KTM got Duke 200 and RC 200 riders of Goa to experience its DNA. The European bike brand, KTM, organized its annual event, Orange Day for customers and motorcycle enthusiasts. Hosted at the Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, the event gave customers an opportunity to explore the off-road riding capabilities of the bike that are best experienced through races and interactions with  fellow KTM owners. There were separate races organized for riders of 200-Duke as well as for RC 200 models.

Besides all the action on the track there were service-camps, stalls for power wear and power parts, refreshments, music and a fun-filled ambience of thrill, adventure and camaraderie. To educate owners of getting the maximum performance from the bikes a classroom session was organized by an expert.

This was followed up by a demonstration on the track and an opportunity for the riders to savor their biking experience. All the KTM owners in the city were invited to participate in the Orange Day. Podium finishers were awarded with branded merchandise and power parts.

Commenting on the occasion, Amit Nandi, president, Probiking, Bajaj Auto, said “The ethos of our brand is deeply rooted in racing and we want bike owners to appreciate the ample thrills that a KTM model can provide on a race track.  The Orange Days are conducted in every major city and will keep on growing in scale over the next few months. We hold the reputation of being an exclusive premium brand and we are keen to provide our patrons with an experience that is unique to the brand name.”

Till date, the Orange Day’s have been held in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Kochi, Coimbatore and many other places. More Orange Days are planned in metro towns in future.

With more than 271 world championship titles in the various categories, including the consecutive 17 prestigious Dakar rally titles, racing is an integral part of the KTM brand. Their core racing philosophy is demonstrated in the way the bikes are designed. By using light but high strength alloy components, KTM bikes are said to have one of the best power to weight ratio in its class.
