Panaji: Indian Navy athlete Rakesh Manoj Bedi, stationed at INS Tunir in Goa, secured a silver medal in the 75kg category at the prestigious Acropolis International Wushu Championship 2025 in Athens, Greece, held from February 28 to March 2.

Bedi’s achievement highlights his growing stature in martial arts, adding to his accolades as a National and International Wushu, Ju-Jitsu, and Judo

competitor.

A Certified Level-04 Fitness Coach, Bedi has previously represented India at events like the 2024 World Wushu Championships and the Nordic Cup

2024.

He had also made a strong showing in the 37th National Games in Goa, where he reached the quarter-finals.

His recent selection for the World Games 2025 to be held in China and Asian Championship 2025 in Jordan highlights his consistent performance.

Bedi credited his success to the support of INS Tunir’s Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, the Wushu Association of India, Goa Wushu Association, coach Killman Paulo Fernandes, and mentors.
