Department of computer engineering, Agnel Polytechnic, Verna organised a two-day workshop on ‘Digital Literacy’ for the staff of the Agnel Technical Complex, Verna.
The main objective of the workshop was to create awareness about the various utilities provided by government and non-government agencies, financial banking transactions and dos and don’ts of using the same.
Resource person for the workshop was the head of department, computer engineering, Vijay Borges who was assisted by faculty members Swizzle D’Silva and Shruti Mamledar.
Borges informed participants about the various utilities available on the internet which can make our life simpler and save our precious time. He also demonstrated online banking transactions using a mobile phone and explained the dos and don’ts about using the same.
Thirty participants were actively involved for the programme. During the feedback session, participants requested for informative and practical programmes to be conducted at various villages, panchayat levels, schools and colleges to help locals.
