Infant Jesus High School, Colva stunned Perpetual Succour Convent H.S, Navelim with a clinical 2-0 win to advance to the next round of the 5th All Goa Sir Jawaharlal Da Costa Interschool Football Tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim and played at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.

In the U-12 boys category, Infant Jesus seized control with a goal in each half, courtesy of sharp finishes from Sharuk Khan and Farhan Khan, knocking out a fancied Perpetual Succour side.

Meanwhile, Marina English H.S, Verna impressed with a solid 2-0 victory over Regina Martyrum H.S, Assolna in another U-12 boys clash, with Priyanshu and Joy Callodo getting their names on the scoresheet.

In the girls’ U-14 category, Regina Martyrum H.S got their revenge, edging out Marina English H.S 3-1 in a tense penalty shootout after a goalless stalemate in regulation time.

Fatima CHS, Margao also registered a commanding 2-0 win over Infant Jesus H.S, Colva, thanks to a brace from Shenera Rodrigues.

Perpetual Succour bounced back in the U-14 boys category with a dominant 3-0 win over OL Health HS, Cuncolim.
