Dr Sagar Salgaocar new chairman of ASSOCHAM Goa

The ASSOCHAM, on Tuesday, announced Geno Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, managing director Dr Sagar Salgaocar as the new chairman of ASSOCHAM  Goa state council. The co-chairman is Umang Software Technologies Pvt Ltd, CEO Mangirish Salelkar.

This appointment is on the heels of UNO Minda, executive chairman Nirmal Minda, announced as the newly elected president of ASSOCHAM India.

Salgaocar has been instrumental in strengthening strategic partnerships between industry, government, and civil society, contributing significantly to Goa’s socio-economic growth. On his new role, he said, that ASSOCHAM in Goa will focus on new growth areas such as education, tourism, sustainability, environment, start-ups, and MSME acceleration enhancing the ease of doing business and promoting Make in India. “ASSOCHAM will collaborate with other trade bodies to create employment and business opportunities in the state,” said Salgaocar.

Salelkar, stated, “Our goal is to make Goa a hub where technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship work hand in hand. Fostering innovation, and bridging the industry-government , industry- academia gaps.”
