Gujarat outclassed Goa by six wickets in the Men’s U-23 State A Trophy Elite clash at Vadodara, on Thursday.

After opting to field, Gujarat’s bowlers put in a disciplined performance to bowl Goa out for 186 in 47.2 overs. Veer Yadav top-scored with a composed 47, while Chittem Jeevanakumar (40) and Aryan Narvekar (32) provided valuable contributions. Lakhmesh Pawane chipped in with an unbeaten 23 down the order, but Goa failed to build any big partnerships. Bhavya Chouhan led the Gujarat attack with figures of 3 for 53, supported by Nirmal Prajapati (2/6) and Krish Gupta (2/28).

In reply, Gujarat made light work of the chase, reaching 189 for 4 in just 34.4 overs. Opener Ahaan Poddar was the star of the show, hammering a brilliant 106 to anchor the innings. SJ Patel (23) and Rudra Patel (22) offered steady support before Aditya Raval (22*) guided Gujarat home comfortably.
