New Delhi

Goa’s Pratik Kankonkar, Nehal Parab, Latish Kunkolkar, and Satish Naik are all set to make their India debuts as part of the 12-member squad for the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2025.

Coached by Mohd Faizal Bin Sood of Malaysia, India has been drawn into Group A and will begin their campaign against hosts Thailand on March 20, followed by clashes against Kuwait (March 22) and Lebanon (March 24) in Pattaya. The squad, along with the coaching and support staff, will depart from Rajkot on March 16, reaching Pattaya in the early hours of March 17.

The squad was selected after an extensive national camp in Porbandar, Gujarat, which initially saw 75 players from 12 states called up in October. The list was later trimmed to 25 players in February, before the final 12 were picked.
