Anjuman Himayatul Islam High School, Vasco, celebrated its Annual Day recently with the theme ‘Samarasta’.
The chief guest for the occasion was deputy director of education Manoj Sawaikar while guest of honour was consultant neurosurgeon at Healthway Hospital, Goa, Dr. Farook Sayed.
The students showcased their talents in music, dance, and drama, impressing everyone with their creativity and energy.
In his annual school report, headmaster M.P. Dabholkar shared the school’s achievements
and activities.
Sawaikar spoke about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its vision for improving India’s education system. He also talked about the new Apaar IDs, a digital system that will make it easier for students to access educational benefits
and schemes.
Further, he also explained the new holistic progress card system, which will replace traditional report cards. He also encouraged moving away from rote learning to focus more on understanding concepts.
