Days after being deported from the United States, two Goan youths, Advincent Mascarenhas and Gladson Souza, have filed a complaint with the Vasco police against New Vaddem-based Captain George Consultancy Services for allegedly sending them to the US through an illegal ‘dunkey’ route via Mexico.

The two arrived in Goa on Sunday after landing in Amritsar late on Saturday night.

The Vasco police have registered a case under Section 420 of the IPC and Sections 10 and 24 of the Emigration Act, 1983, against one Stanely George.

According to the police, the duo alleged that between May 17, 2024, and January 20, 2025, the accused, without a licence from the Protector of Emigrants under the Union government for overseas employment recruitment, dishonestly induced them and collected Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10.5 lakh from them.

On January 20, they travelled from Goa to Mumbai and took a connecting flight to Istanbul. They then boarded another flight to Mexico, reaching on January 22, where they stayed at a hotel for a day.

Later, they were taken to Tijuana, where the agency connected them with a local agent to help them cross the US border by climbing a wall.

The police said the consultancy had promised them jobs in the US hospitality sector while knowing that they could suffer a wrongful loss. The two were apprehended by US border officials and deported to India.

A case has been registered, but no arrests have been made so far.
