Reaffirming its commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world industry practices, DCT’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics BBA Department recently hosted a hands-on training workshop on ‘Just-in-Time (JIT) Management’ under its Industry Connect 1.0 initiative. Spearheaded by assistant professor Neha Mapari and student coordinator Suhani Gawade, the workshop attracted participation from first-year BBA students eager to gain insight into contemporary business operations.

Head of The Social Sprint, Goa Joshua Fernandes led the session by highlighting the importance of streamlined inventory systems and waste reduction through JIT principles. Through a series of interactive group activities and real-life case studies, Fernandes demonstrated how JIT management practices can optimise resource utilisation, reduce costs, and accelerate decision-making across various industries.

Students also engaged in practical exercises that underscored the benefits of effective communication, collaboration, and critical thinking—essential competencies in modern organisational settings.
