Doyal nets a hattrick, Selwyn, Vikram, Sushil, Naocha score one each in 8-2 win
Ella: Sporting Clube de Goa demolished Goa Police 8-2 in the Goa Professional League Super League at the Ella Ground on Wednesday.
The Flaming Oranje opened their account early, with Doyal Alves slotting home from a Leran Dias cross. Goa Police responded strongly—Shubham Shirwaikar equalized in the 27th minute, and Rui Noronha put them ahead before halftime.
The second half saw a SC Goa resurgence. Selwyn Miranda leveled matters with a brilliant curler from the left. Soon after, Vikram restored the lead with a dazzling solo effort. Joyson Gauncar made it 4-2 in the 60th minute, followed by Doyal’s second goal—a close-range tap-in from a Deeshank Kunkalikar cross.
Substitute Sushil added the sixth with a first-time finish off a cross from the right, before Doyal turned provider for Naocha Singh to make it seven. In the final minute, Joyson fed Doyal with a slicing through ball; the striker rounded the keeper to complete his hat-trick and seal an 8-2 win.
