The Ganga Zuari Academy (GZA) celebrated its 19th Foundation Day at the International Centre Goa (ICG), Dona Paula, with an evening of cultural harmony and social recognition. The event, held under the theme ‘Tunes of Harmony’, brought together professionals from diverse fields to honour the academy’s commitment to inclusive cultural growth and community welfare.
The evening commenced with an inaugural function graced by the chief guest, Manguirish Pai Raikar, and featured a blend of cultural performances and tributes. A notable highlight was a classical dance performance by Margao-based performer Shradha Rajit Raikar. The Smt. Mita Dey Social Goodness Award 2025 was conferred upon Street Providence, an organisation recognised for its dedicated service to the homeless and marginalised. Professor I. K. Pai of Goa University received the award on behalf of the organisation. The award included a cash prize, citation, and memento.
