Sharda Mandir School bagged the Best Delegation trophy at the first edition of the Manovikas Model United Nations (MVMUN-2025), held at Manovikas English Medium High School, Margao. The three-day conference concluded recently with over 100 delegates from 11 schools participating.
The event simulated UN proceedings, with students debating important national and global issues. A surprise knock-out debate on the final day saw Gauri Saxena of Navy Children School, Vasco, named Best Delegate, after edging out Elahe Srinivasan of The Gera School, Kadamba Plateau.
Chief guest professor at Goa Institute of Management, Divya Singhal, urged students to lead with conviction and compassion, quoting the Dalai Lama on the importance of empathy.
Principal Maria Norman said the conference gave students a platform to lead and grow.
Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha and director Mayalin Noronha were also present at the valedictory function.
