IT company Kilowott, Porvorim, opened a new office in Margao, to tap into the talent pool of south Goa. The 40-seater facility is located at the FiiRE Coworking Space and Skilling Centre in Nehrunagar.

The office was inaugurated by GCCI, president Pratima Dhond, Models Group, chairperson Natalina Vaz, Startup and IT Promotion Cell CEO DS Prashant, Don Bosco’s Fr Ralin and Fr Kinley, and Goa State Innovation Council, chairman Jose Manuel Noronha.

Kilowott co-founder Caleb Fernandez said the expansion highlights the company’s commitment to Goa’s homegrown talent ecosystem.

The GCCI president Dhond, said, “Such initiatives help create quality job opportunities and encourage Goan youth to stay in the state. Prashant added that, Kilowott’s  presence in Norway and connection to the Nordic region gives it international potential. He praised the startup’s consistent focus on local talent.

Noronha said he was proud of Kilowott’s achievements and its role in employing some of the state’s best minds.

Last month, the company held a campus recruitment drive across nine Goan institutions, offering jobs to over 20 students after a rigorous selection process that drew hundreds of applicants.
