Sesa FA suffered a 3-1 defeat to Garhwal United FC in an Indian Women’s League clash at the National Centre of Excellence (NCE), Kolkata on Saturday.
Garhwal United raced into a commanding lead through Lhingdeikim (12’), Sanfida Nongrum (15’) and Deepika Pal (45+4’), all in the first half. Sesa FA’s Sarjida Khatun struck in the 89th minute, but the late goal could not alter the outcome. Yellow cards were shown to Sesa’s Sulekha Kanhar (62’) and Bertha Omita (90+2’), while Garhwal’s Jyoti also received a caution (64’).
