Baroda outclass Goa by 10 wickets

Goa suffered a 10-wicket defeat against Baroda in the Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy Elite at Vizianagaram, on Friday.

Asked to bat first, Goa found runs hard to come by and finished on 64 for seven from 35 overs. Joya (14), Vidika (12 not out) and Sreeshtika (10) were the only batters to reach double figures.

Baroda’s bowlers maintained tight control,
with Aadhya producing an incisive spell of four for 16, while Vaibhavi (1-13) and Vrutti (1-18) chipped in effectively. Chasing a modest target, Baroda openers Naisha Tiwari and Pratha Vanar ensured there were no hiccups. The pair added an unbeaten stand to complete the chase in 10.1 overs.
