The 13th Children’s Tiatr Competition organised by the Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) will be held from January 20 to February 9, 2026, with the aim of nurturing young talent and strengthening the foundation of Konkani tiatr from an early age. The competition is being organised in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Baina, Vasco.
A total of eight troupes will participate in this year’s competition, presenting original children’s tiatrs that reflect creativity, social awareness and theatrical skills.
The inaugural function of the competition will be held on January 20, 3.30 pm, followed by the first tiatr performance, ‘Hem Amchem Daiz’, written and directed by Gloria Ferrao at 4 p.m. MLA of Mormugao, Sankalp Amonkar will be the chief guest while assistant parish priest of St. Andrew’s Church, Vasco, Fr. Ronny Fernandes, will be the guest of honour. Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco Jayant Jadhav, will be the special invitee. Entry to all performances is free and will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
