They bag multiple medals in Kata and Kumite in various age groups

Panaji: Champions Karate Club (CKC) Goa delivered an impressive performance at the Invitational National Karate Championship held at Pune, securing multiple medals in both Kata and Kumite across various age categories, on Tuesday..

Competing against participants from across the country, the Goan contingent excelled in both form and sparring events, underlining the steady rise of Shotokan Karate in the state. The championship, organised by Champions Karate Club, provided a competitive platform for athletes to test their technical skill and discipline at the national level.

The Goa team was guided by chief instructor Shihan Mohite of Champions Karate Club. Sensei Suraj Suhas Paradkar, instructor of CKC Goa, supervised the squad’s preparation, while assistant instructor Niharika Shetye mentored the junior and sub-junior athletes.

Speaking after the event, Sensei Suraj Paradkar said the team’s success reflected the hard work and commitment shown in training. “Winning medals in both Kata and Kumite at the national level highlights the depth of talent in Goa,” he said.
