Dempo Challengers register five-wicket win

Dempo Challengers scripted a five-wicket victory over Sinq Rangers at the MCC Ground in the GSB Unity Cup 3.0 on Saturday.

Sinq Rangers posted 153/8 in 20 overs, with Sahil Adwalpalkar top-scoring with 42. Mehank Dharwadkar (34) and Samrudh Bharne (31) chipped in with useful contributions. For Dempo, Sumiran Amonkar and Shridhar Keni struck twice apiece to keep the opposition in check.

Dempo, who slumped to 47/3 and appeared on the ropes. Samar Dubhashi steadied the innings with a composed 52, forging a decisive partnership with skipper Aditya Angle, who remained unbeaten on 44.

Despite Sairaj Dhond’s two wickets, the Rangers failed to break the partnership in time as Dempo reached 154/5 in 19.5 overs to seal the win.
