Benaulim: Guardian Angel SC Curchorem overturned a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Cuncolim Union before winning 6-4 on penalties in the quarterfinals of the 35th Super Soccer Cup at Dando ground.
Viraj Velip gave Cuncolim an early lead with a header in the fourth minute, while Ligation Fernandes doubled the advantage in the 13th.
Guardian Angel hit back through Alton Vaz, who headed in during the 24th minute before completing his brace in to restore parity.
At fulltime the score was 0-0, forcing the match into a penalty shootout. Guardian Angel held their nerve from the spot to secure a place in the last four.
Alton Vaz was awarded the Man of the Match by Xavier Colaco.
