Sayika Naik won the first prize in a Rangoli competition held at Sikeri Goshala Hall, Mayem, following a two-day workshop
that drew 65 participants. Naik received Rs. 3,000, a trophy and a certificate.
Kalpana Volvoikar secured the second prize of Rs. 2,000, a trophy and a certificate, while Manvi Jalmi won the third prize of Rs.1,000, a trophy and a certificate. Sunita Gawander and Avni Vaigankar received the first and second consolation prizes, respectively, along with Rs. 500 and certificates.
The event was organised by the Sikeri Mayem Farm Foundation and the Gomantak Gausevak Mahasangh. The workshop was conducted by Rangoli instructor Mohan Khavnekar, assisted by Deepalaxmi Asgaonkar and Chaitrali Asgaonkar.
Participants learned the traditional ‘Sanskar Bharati’ style of Rangoli through demonstrations of various techniques and designs.
