The event in Navelim will have 10km, 5km and 2km races
Navelim: The Rosary Alumni Family is all set to host RAF’s Run for Unity 2026 at Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, on October 2, with the community fitness initiative bringing together runners, students, alumni and citizens under the message “One Goa. One Heart. One Run.”
The event will feature three categories, with the 10km competitive run scheduled for a 6.20 am flag-off, followed by the 5km competitive run at 6.30 am and the 2km Unity Fun Run at 6.40 am. Entry fees are Rs 600, Rs 500 and Rs 400 respectively.
Participants will receive an official event jersey, bib, finisher medal, e-certificate, refreshments, hydration support and medical assistance. Arrangements include hydration stations, medical teams, ambulances, route marshals, volunteers and traffic and safety support.
The official event jersey was launched in the presence of RAF Chairman Prof Helic Barreto, President Sidharth Mehta and RAF members Kirk Diniz, Pearl Mascrenhas, Feroz, Hemandra Sharma and Griselda.
Barreto said the run is envisioned as more than a sporting event and would provide an opportunity for people from different backgrounds and generations to come together.
Mehta said the initiative is a “humble effort” to bring people together through sport, fitness and community spirit.
Title sponsor Siddesh Bhagat also urged Goans to participate in the October 2 event. The last date for offline registration is September 25. General public can register at Rosary College, Navelim, from 9 am to 4 pm.
