The 50th Tiatr ‘A’ Group Competition of Kala Academy will be held from March 10 to March 28, 7 p.m. daily, at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy, Panaji.
A total of 14 tiatr groups will be participating. The competition will begin with the staging of ‘Rest In Peace’ presented by Pacheco’s Dramatic and Cultural Association, Curtorim. The following day, March 11, the tiatr ‘Vavtoll’ presented by Taleigao Dramatic Troupe, Taleigao, will be staged. March 13 will see Drishti Entertainments, Curchorem, presenting ‘Kelolem Urta’ followed by ‘Odruxtta Fattlean Odruxtt’ by Sao Bartolomeu Sports Club and Cultural Association, Chorao on March 14.
Machi Mogi Morjim, Cultural Sanskrutic Saunstha, Morjim-Pernem will stage ‘Varear Ubtolo Kapus’ and Kala Mogi, Candolim, will present ‘Oh Goa!’ on March 17.
‘Bognaar’ by St. Domnic Dramatic Troup, Merces will be presented on March 18 and Advarlolim Follam by Kala Machi Mogi, Santa-Cruz will be staged on March19.
Matias Creative Group, Calangute will stage their tiatr ‘Aiz Mhaka, Faleam Tuka’ on March 20, followed by ‘Zagronnachi Rat’ presented by Barebhat Social & Cultural Association, Raia, Salcete, on March 21.
The Goan.Com Socio & Cultural Association, Candolim, will stage ‘The Healing House’ on March24 and Dramatic Troupe of Ribandar will present ‘Dusrem Jivit’ on
March 25.
‘Amkam Nit Konn Ditolo?’ will be staged on March 26 while ‘Tum Mhaka Zai’ by J.J. Productions, St. Cruz will wrap up the event on March 28.
Tickets of Rs.100/- and also season passes of Rs. 1400/- will be available at the ticket counter of Kala Academy from March 7
onwards.
