Brushh Stories by Michellyn Fernando adds a touch of handmade magic to your special day

Michellyn Fernando believes that her mission in life is love. That’s why she pours her heart into every creation under her handmade arts venture, Brushh Stories.
“I always strive to make every order a memorable experience,” shares the Verna-based artist, who launched Brushh Stories in May 2021 after leaving her first job. “I had always felt unfulfilled in a 9-5 role, pouring my energy into work that never seemed to be truly appreciated. That realisation pushed me to take a leap and start something of my own.”
Initially, Fernando focused on painting and transforming her artworks into digital prints for products like notebooks, frames, phone covers, and more—hence the name Brushh Stories. “Even though I no longer specialise in those, I’ve kept the name because I see my mind as a brush crafting stories in every order I make,” she says.
Today, she specialises in creating wedding accessories, including ring holders, bridal bouquets, resin preservation pieces, and customised frames. “I love how every wedding is unique and full of vibrancy. Working with different colours brings so much excitement into my life—there’s never a dull moment!” she says.
But she admits that running a business comes with its challenges. “The biggest hurdles for me are finding reliable vendors for raw materials and managing last-minute orders, which we often accept so people can get a better idea of what we offer,” she says. Still, the journey has been a great learning experience. “The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is time management—every second truly counts,” she says, adding that she is grateful to Jesus and to her husband for his support.
To place an order, customers can reach out via Instagram or WhatsApp with their requirements. “We ensure quality while considering our client’s budget, without any compromises, making our services accessible to everyone,” says Fernando, adding that for now, deliveries are limited to Panaji and Verna.
“I truly enjoy creating customised wedding accessories, and I’d love to continue doing that,” she says. “But going forward, I want to make them even more personal. My goal is for couples to cherish these items for a lifetime, not just on their special day.”
