Borim: Abhishek Swami clinched the title after defeating Avdhut Nadaf in straight sets (15-7, 15-13) in the men’s singles final as the 22nd All Goa Outdoor Badminton Tournament, organized by the Star Sports and Cultural Club, concluded at Kalmamoll badminton ground in

Borim.

Swami was awarded a trophy, a Rs. 4,000 cash prize, and the prestigious Aai Navdurga Rolling Trophy. In the fiercely contested All Goa Men’s Doubles, Manav Shetgaonkar and Asif Khan emerged victorious against Avdhut Saptoji and Mohammad Nadaf in a three-set thriller (15-13, 8-15, 14-16), taking home Rs. 5,000 and trophies.

Young talent shone in the U14 Borim Panchayat Final, where Anuj Gayakwad dominated Aaditya Naik (15-6, 15-7) to claim the title and Rs. 2,000. Siddharth Hazra secured the U19 Singles crown after edging out Ansh Velingkar (15-8, 17-16), earning Rs. 3,000. Yasmin Sayeed triumphed in the Women’s Singles category, defeating Minoshka Pereira (15-13, 15-11) for a Rs. 4,000

prize.

Veterans C.K. Shamsuddin and Nitin Mayekar claimed the All Goa Veterans’ Doubles title (15-7, 15-11), winning Rs. 5,000. In the Shiroda Constituency Men’s Doubles, Ansh Velingkar and Vigdesh Gaude overcame Shravan Prabhu and Rahul Borkar (16-14, 4-15, 15-9) to secure Rs. 4,000. The Ponda Taluka Men’s Doubles saw Prathamesh Naik and Chetan Naik defeat Vedang Naik and Jatish Naik (15-8, 15-12) for Rs. 5,000.

The Mixed Doubles final featured a gripping showdown, with Mohammad Nadaf and Jahnvi Virnodkar prevailing over Manish Pankhania and Ketki Naik (14-16, 15-11, 5-15).
