The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed constituency-level mandal committees in Margao, Navelim, Fatorda, and Benaulim to enhance public engagement and promote its initiatives.
Addressing media at the party office in Margao, MLAs Digambar Kamat and Ulhas Tuenkar announced the formation of a 31-member committee, which includes women representatives, to serve a three-year term.
Kamat said that a thorough selection process was followed in appointing the committee members.
Tuenkar, while introducing the Navelim mandal committee, highlighted achievements from the previous term and expressed confidence in the new team’s ability to effectively communicate the party’s developmental work to the public. He praised party workers for their dedication and expressed optimism about future election victories under Navelim mandal chief Vijay Surme.
In Benaulim, mandal president Mukesh Naik said the committee is committed to strengthening the party’s presence in the constituency and aims to secure a BJP MLA in the next election, drawing from successful strategies implemented in Navelim.
Fatorda mandal president Sweta Lotlikar also reiterated the committee’s commitment to working together for the party’s success in the constituency.
Meanwhile in Mandrem, Uttam Pokhare has been elected as the new president of BJP’s Mandrem block, while Ravi Govekar, Prajakta Kannaik, and Shantaram Parab have been elected as vice presidents.
Pradip Naik and Paresh Sawant will serve as general secretaries, with Dhiraj Mandrekar as secretary. Sejal Gawde, Pradnya Parsekar, and Ajay Kalangutkar have also been appointed as secretaries. Amit Shetgaokar has been named treasurer.
Ramakant Parsekar, Anisha Kerkar, Jayant Kerkar, Shiva Tilve, Abhay Naik, Dilip Vaigankar, Krishna Chopdekar, Pravin Kinalekar, Chaya Salgaokar, Shilpa Mhamal, Raghunath Joshi, Sangita Naik, Vithu Shetgaokar, Eknath Chopdekar, Sneha Naik, Shrunkhala Bagkar, Pradip Parab, and Rudraksh Murari have been appointed as members
of the block.
