The Regional Office, Panaji, of Central Bank of India successfully organised the National Mega Agricultural Credit Outreach Campaign at Quepem and Mencurem on February 13 under the leadership of Regional Head Olivia Pereira. The initiative aimed to promote financial inclusion and enhance access to agricultural credit.
The programme was attended by several dignitaries, and more than 250 customers participated in the campaign. Loans amounting to Rs 13.67 crore were sanctioned across 238 accounts, while Rs 7.4 crore was disbursed under various agricultural schemes.
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Central Bank of India provided guidance on agricultural initiatives. Activities under Financial Literacy Week 2026 were also conducted, focusing on safe banking practices and fraud awareness.
