The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) Goa Centre, disclosed that, as of May 2026, it conducted 74 entrepreneurship awareness programmes in the state benefiting 3,905 participants, including youth, women, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Additionally, 10 Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP’s) trained 615 participants in business planning, financial literacy, marketing, enterprise management, and government support mechanisms. The Goa centre carried out faculty-oriented interventions, including one- day sensitization workshops, Faculty Mentor Development Programmes (FMDPs), and Advanced Faculty Mentor Development Programmes (AFMDPs), aimed at creating a network of trained mentors capable of guiding future entrepreneurs.
Four sensitization workshops have benefited 177 faculty members, while six FMDP’s have trained 186 participants. These efforts are fostering innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and startup culture within educational institutions. EDII Goa, is the implementing agency for training applicants under the Goa Mukhyamantri Swayam Rojgar Yojana (MSRY) scheme. Through the various entrepreneurship programmes, aspiring entrepreneurs are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to establish and manage successful businesses.
