As part of its ongoing commitment to promote healthy beginnings for mothers and children, Himalaya BabyCare said that it set up over 500 breastfeeding rooms across India. The rooms offer clean and private spaces for mothers to feed their babies with dignity and comfort. They reflect the brand’s continued efforts to support mothers with clean and thoughtful infrastructure at a time when public awareness around maternal well-being is increasingly vital.

The breastfeeding rooms are located in 27 airports including major transit hubs like, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Goa. In Maharashtra alone, key airports such as Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Amaravathi, Nanded, and Shirdi are equipped with the dedicated spaces. The rooms are also at 33 railway stations. Additionally, 268 rooms are established in 141 hospitals and other high-footfall areas across metro cities and regional centres.

The total number of operational feeding rooms stands at 502 as of June 2025. Based on the survey conducted by the brand, on an average, each feeding room is used by approximately 30 mothers every day, highlighting the consistent need for such facilities. It translates to more than 5.5 million mothers annually who benefit from Himalaya BabyCare’s mother-friendly spaces.

Speaking on the initiative, Himalaya Wellness Company, director, Chakravarthi N V, said, “Babies and moms are always at the heart of what we do. Our breastfeeding facility initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting mothers with care and thoughtfulness wherever they are. These rooms are a step forward in offering mothers the privacy they seek, without compromising on their mobility or comfort.”

The initiative reflects Himalaya’s mission of ensuring happy beginnings for every mother and child, while also creating a subtle yet meaningful social shift by recognising and addressing the everyday realities faced by parents in urban and semi-urban India.
