McLaren Strategic Solutions (MSS), a technology services company, welcomed 20 final-year engineering students from Goan technical institutes to its global workforce during an exclusive interaction session with McLaren Strategic Solutions (MSS), chairman Sajan Pillai. The event was attended by the IT Minister Rohan Khaunte, who handed over Letters of Intent (LOI) to the students. Present during the event were Revati Kumar, CEO, Goa Electronics Limited (GEL), and company senior management including Dimple George, Shreedevi Roogi, Sherly Thomas, and  Jarvas Pereira. Director, revenue & business development, TradeXProtocol.

“Talent is abundant among our people, but at times lack of exposure and opportunity forces many to migrate, often at the cost of losing their social and cultural roots. Our main objective is to create opportunities within Goa so that locals can stay, grow and contribute to their community. Collaborating with industry partners like McLaren Strategic Solutions (MSS) is a strong step in this direction,” said Khaunte, speaking on the occasion.

During the Q&A session, students engaged with Pillai on topics ranging from corporate scaling to company core values. Beyond gaining a clear career roadmap, the interaction allowed students to gain insights on the global tech landscape.

Emphasizing on why he chose Goa, the chairman remarked, “I believe in identifying regions with untapped potential, places that have educated talent, strong communication skills and a welcoming culture. Goa stood out to me because of its positive environment, quality of life and its natural appeal that makes people want to stay and work here. I was also impressed by the strong support from the local government. This spirit of collaboration and willingness to enable business growth played a key role in my decision.”

The recruitment process began earlier in February. A defining factor for the selected candidates was their practical experience, where nearly all hires had participated in at least three hackathons, showcasing a high level of innovation thriving on Goan campuses.

This year, McLaren Strategic Solutions increased its local hiring to 20 students (up from 15 hires last year) from colleges including GEC, PCCE, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, and Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology. The selected graduates will officially join the company in August 2026.
